CREATIVE RESISTANCE

SPRING SUMMER 18

This collection entitled “Creative Resistance”, is inspired by the rekindling of the ERA movement (Equal Rights Amendment). On the 21st of January 2017 a Woman's March on Washington sparked a new interest in ERA in the United States of America, being the states of Nevada and Illinois the pioneers of the revival of this movement. In this collection, the creator decided to make a tribute to Amelia Earhart, the first pilot woman making a flight transatlantic. Amelia was part of the group Suffragettes who fought for the right to vote and gender equality. the colors of collection and references to the uniforms of aviation of the 70's refer to posters of the National Women's Party.

Thus was born this collection that presents for SS18, in partnership with Fifitex. As Susana mentioned in the announcement of this Collaboration: To achieve exclusive results, it is necessary to delve deeper into the processes of creation, being able to control all the materials used in the pieces. now this “dream” became real with the support of Fifitex, the yarn is exclusive, the colors are exclusive, making each piece even more special and unique. This collection is not aimed at defense of feminism but of the equality of all human beings.
